Computed tomography (CT) uses x-rays and computer reconstruction to generate high resolution cross-sectional images of the inside of the body. Studies take from 5-20 minutes to complete.
MRD employs the latest CT technology. Our machines employ advanced algorithms to reduce radiation dose and metallic artifacts producing the most diagnostic images with the least amount of x-rays.
CT scanning is often the best method for detecting many different cancers, the images allow doctors to confirm the presence of a tumor and determine its size and location. CT is fast, painless, noninvasive and accurate. In emergency cases, it can reveal internal injuries and bleeding quickly enough to help save lives.
